Properties of Waves

There are many different types of waves.

Amplitude: The movement of a wave getting higher. From the 0 point to the top.
Wavelength: The distance over which the wave's shape repeats.
Crest: the highest point of the wave.
Trough: The lowest point of the wave.
Period: The time for a particle on a medium to make one complete vibrational cycle.
Frequency: how often the particles of the medium vibrate when a wave passes through the medium.
oscillation: is when a mass moves back and forth in a regular rhythm. The proper name for a wave.

Equation:
Period= 1/Frequency.
Speed=Wavelength/Frequency.
